The Fourth of July is a great time of year to experience some spectacular fireworks with your family and friends. Since 1991, the City of Amherst has collaborated with the University at Buffalo’s North Campus to put on a fireworks show over Lake LaSalle that is open to the public — something that’s sure to make your Independence Day memorable.

On July Fourth, more than 40,000 people will flock to the UB campus, mostly at Baird Point, so be sure to get there early! This year, entertainment will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the band 23 Skidoo, followed by the Eerie County Wind Ensemble, and ending with the spectacular fireworks show.
